GALVANIZED BY NVIDIA, THE CAC 40 IS A LITTLE CLOSER TO 8000 POINTS

After a sluggish start, the Paris Stock Exchange has resumed its rise with the aim of breaking new records. The CAC 40 rose by 0.58% to 7,957.29 points at mid-session, with 8,000 points now in the sights.

Already the day before, the Parisian star index had crossed 7,900 points for the first time in its history. For now, the CAC 40 is up 2.4% over the week.

Investors still continue to enjoy the excellent publication of the American Nvidia, which gained 16.4% Thursday evening on Wall Street. Nvidia’s market capitalization – or the stock market value of all of its shares – jumped by $277 billion on Thursday, according to Companiesmarketcap.com.

This is the largest capitalization gain on Wall Street in one session, erasing the precedent of Meta which saw its stock market value jump by $196 billion in early February. This capitalization gain also allows Nvidia to increase its stock market value to $1.963 billion.
